The Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs & Trade Marks (CGPDTM), under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, has released a public notice for the engagement of contractual manpower.
For legal professionals with a keen interest in intellectual property rights, the CGPDTM has announced a vacancy for a Young Professional (Law & IP). The selected candidate will primarily be posted at the Intellectual Property Office in New Delhi, with potential required visits to regional IP offices across India.

Eligibility Criteria & Experience
To qualify for this contractual role, candidates must meet the following educational and professional standards:
- Essential Qualification: Graduation or Postgraduation in Law OR an MBA in International Business with domain knowledge in relevant areas.
- Desirable Qualification: A Ph.D. in the Law & IP field is highly preferred.
- Experience Required: A minimum of 01 year of research experience in the Law & IP field, preferably handling IPR matters.
- Additional Requirements: Candidates must possess practical knowledge of handling legal work, drafting rules and regulations, and preparing replies in respect of court matters.
Salary & Remuneration
The selected Young Professional will receive a highly competitive, consolidated remuneration of ₹70,000 per month.
Selection Process
