Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Guest Faculty position at NLUO, candidates must fulfill strict academic parameters mandated by the UGC:
- Educational Qualification: A Master’s degree (LLM) with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in a relevant/allied subject from an Indian university, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
- Relaxation: A 5% relaxation (i.e., minimum 50% required) is permitted for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/Differently Abled categories.
- Mandatory Certification: Candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC/CSIR, or a similar accredited test like SLET/SET.
- Exemptions to NET/SLET/SET: * Candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with UGC Regulations (2009 or 2016) are exempted from the NET requirement.
- Candidates with a Ph.D. from a foreign university ranked among the top 500 globally (via QS, THE, or ARWU rankings) are also eligible.
Salary & Remuneration
Selected academicians will be compensated with an honorarium of ₹1,00,000/- per Semester per Subject, subject to the fulfillment of the university’s terms and conditions.
