About Office of the Principal District & Sessions Judge

The Office of the Principal District & Sessions Judge (HQs), Delhi is responsible for administrative and judicial functions of district courts in Delhi. 

About the Opportunity

The Office has invited applications for the engagement of 13 Law Researchers for District Judges (Commercial Courts), Central District, Delhi. The engagement is on a short-term contractual basis for one year, i.e., for the financial year 2026–27. Out of the total positions, 10 vacancies are anticipated to arise with effect from April 1, 2026.

The engagement is in terms of the directions issued by the Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) Committee.

Eligibility

  • Graduate in Law from a recognised law school/college/university/institute established by law in India and recognised by the Bar Council of India
  • Minimum 55% aggregate marks
  • Must be eligible for enrolment as an Advocate with the Bar Council
  • Good knowledge of computers

Preference may be given to candidates having a postgraduate degree in law or relevant legal experience.

Selection Process

The selection shall be conducted as per the guidelines framed by the Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) Committee. Selected candidates will be required to comply with the prescribed guidelines and applicable service rules during the period of engagement.

About the Job

The Red Hat Legal team is looking for a Contract Specialist to join the new Global Legal and Compliance Center of Excellence (CoE) in New Delhi, India supporting the global Commercial Legal function. In this role, you will work on a globally distributed team of lawyers and contract specialists to support the Red Hat sales and procurement teams in structuring, negotiating, and closing contracts.

You’ll also collaborate with our finance and product management teams and assist Red Hat counsel with commercial legal functions. As a Contract Specialist, you’ll need to have excellent communication skills to interact with internal and external business clients while addressing complex issues in an accurate and clear, yet thorough manner. You should have passion for technology, excellent problem-solving skills, and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Eligibility

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Demonstrated interest in software, information technology (IT), intellectual property (IP), or related legal issues
  • 4+ years of professional experience in contract negotiations in the technology or software industry, solid knowledge of commercial contracting law and related issues such like IP and licensing
  • Excellent communication skills demonstrated through your work experience, including the ability to explain complicated concepts in simple, audience-appropriate terms
  • Analytical, negotiation, and drafting skills demonstrated through your work experience
  • Exceptional organizational skills with an ability to manage simultaneous projects under deadline pressure
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining a firm focus on problem-solving
  • Experience with NDAs and revenue and sales contracts is a big plus

Responsibilities

  • Review, revise, and negotiate non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and other commerial agreements
  • Provide support and assistance to Red Hat’s commercial attorneys worldwide
  • Assist with master software subscription agreements, master services agreements and statements of work (SoWs), partner agreements for resellers, distributors, and cloud providers, and procurement agreements
  • Help educate customers about open source licensing and Red Hat’s subscription business model Help support the global Sales team
